Elusive artist Banksy has opened an “all-inclusive vandals resort” in Bethlehem, only five metres away from the wall that separates Israel from the Palestinian West Bank. Dubbed the Walled Off Hotel, Banksy’s new project includes a tea shop, art gallery and graffiti supplies store. Home to ten rooms, all the spaces feature artworks and a variety of trademark stencils from the famed artist aiming to shine a light on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict while bringing jobs and tourism to the area.
The hotel houses rooms from a presidential suite to a budget options. The higher-priced room is equipped with a hot tub and access to a roof garden while the small ones are filled with bunkbeds salvaged from an army barracks. Take a look inside the hotel above, the opening of which also coincided with Banksy’s first postings on Instagram in nearly 80 weeks.
